Default different enraged lunge build

i made a nice enraged lunge build that seems to work pretty well.

most EL builds focus on skills that have a huge recharge to make EL stronger, i went with something different...

you can work the attributes out so that there is only a sup rune, or you could use a rune for beast mastery. i go like this because EL still does +80...

R/???
expertise - 14
beast mastery - 13
marksmanship - 9
1. tiger's fury
2. enraged lunge <e>
3. brutal strike
4. marauder's shot
5. call of haste
6. comfort animal
7. charm animal
8. res sig

tiger's fury and marauder's shot aren't only there to increase you DPS, they cause some of your skills (4 of which are beast mastery skills) to be disabled for a few seconds. you can easilly use one of those skills before EL to charge EL to +80.
you not only do good damage with your bow, but you have your pet for consistant ~100 damage per EL and BS. also, the 14 in expertise makes spamming those 10 energy skills very easy...

try it out, i think it works better than the normal EL build...

I think the thing about the EL build posted on guildwiki (guessing this is what you meant when reffering to the "normal" EL build?) is that it makes your pet able to tank better than many tanks could unless using multiple armor buffs, as well as having ~100 damage every 5 secs. Also, your build really depends on your monks because you don't have TU or a defensive stance. Not sure how well that would work, though I'm also unsure of whether it's meant for PvE or PvP, or both...?

I love the tankmaster build offwiki only problem is getting my pet to attack before monsters aggro me and getting my pet to hold aggro... for some reason even if I shoot sumtin with a flat/long bow theystill attack me... even when I am out of aggro circle range...

Long bow + pet = you shouldn't be taking a lot of damage. Fire an arrow to pull, then run a little so the pet is behind you, then fire again and he'll tank, most of the time they will attack him if there's a decent distance between the two of you...I've never needed a defensive stance or heal on my ranger when I run BM

Thanks. I've been running around the Shiverpeaks working on the master cartographer title and tried a variation on your build this morning. Marauder's Shot is so powerful, even with only 9 on Marks., that it was a nice improvement. Nice idea. Thanks.
